“I imagined myself indifferent to her, but I was just angry and resentful. Too late … too late I began to understand me and her. I never met one like her good sense and sweetness of character. She is the perfection itself. I have never loved anyone who is not her. ”

Ever After: A Cinderella Story

09:01:00 Lady Li 0 Comments

Today I decided to talk a little bit of a film that I love so much, "Ever After: A Cinderella," by inspired the fairy tale Cinderella.
One of the reasons I like it so much is because the film is quite realistic, we are used to fairy tales, the imaginary magic but it happens that sometimes the nightmare we live in real life can become a dream. Honestly, I have nothing that I dislike in this film. The actors were very well and our protagonists are one of the cutest couples I've ever seen in a movie, the scenery is beautiful and I love the fact that they brought historical moments, more particularly the relations of France and Spain, in that time. This film has almost 20 years but remains one of the finest.

I leave here my favourite scene of the film. I hope you like it!

World Book Day - "The best author, Jane Austen: "Sense and Sensibility"

13:41:00 Lady Li 0 Comments

"Sense and Sensibility" was a book that has deceived me. The ending was not what I was planning, it was much better! I think both main characters are very different, in fact the opposite,
Of the two, I can say that I identify more with Marianne. She is a lively girl, adventuress, impulsive, romantic, dedicated, ambitious and loves music just like me. I can say that when I read the book I changed my opinion on certain subjects, in particular on the exposition of my feelings.
Like her, I fell in love with a man who disappointed me. It was good to happen to me while I was reading the book because I grew up with her and she ended up helping me to move on. I'm still a little bit like Mariana yet I've learned to control myself, and I know she did the same. Elinor is a character that I admire so much. She has a strength, an ability to cope with all the dramas. I think in this aspect we see a bit of Jane Austen because she had to have the ability to hear everything from everyone, good or bad.

World Book Day - "The best author, Jane Auste: Pride and Prejudice"

For me, this is the best novel ever!
From the beginning, it was always a book that made me want to read more and more. In each chapter, there is a new emotion, a new drama, a new disappointment and a new lesson. We learn something new about the characters and in the end, everything is clear. Everything happened for a reason and this is what makes the whole story so special!
With this book I have learned that we must not let our pride speak for us because sometimes we want to be so superior that we do not realize that we can make mistakes, making mistakes is part of life. It's ok.

WORLD VOICE DAY

Our present is the result of our past. Today we are who we are because there were great people who fought for justice, spoke louder, making the world a better place. Jane Austen face a harsh and prejudiced society, despite being seen merely as "a poor woman." But we know she was much more than that! She chose writing as a way to express herself because writing was her voice!

Recently, nemo publisher launched a graphic novel Pride and Prejudice, rewritten by Ian Edington and designed by Robert Deas. It's like bringing a black and white film to color without taking his class.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Opinion

09:29:00 Lady Li 0 Comments

Hello dears,

Last weekend, I saw "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" In general, the film is very original and funny. I think the theme of zombies was very diferent in a good way.
Perhaps a lot of people have not thought about it but in this time, there were many superstitions and legends about dead people. They could have used the theme of vampires but I think it would not have the same fun. The actors were very good. I think our Mr Darcy is that has failed a little bit because it was not as hard and unfeeling as the original.
So conclunding, I recommend to everyone, special for men that say they don't like this story. Maybe now might think differently!
